all of the gospel music that i listen to speaks to my heart... but there's something about the gospel singers with the more powerful voices like fred hammond, j. moss, kelly price, the clark sisters, smokie norful, dave hollister, and kim burrell that really gets me everytime... i always tear up when i listen to "your love is" and "thank you (i won't complain)" by fred hammond and "work your faith" and "i'm not perfect w/anthony hamilton" by j. moss... i also love "i come to you more" by kim burrell and "yesterday" by mary, mary... and "Jesus is real" by john p. kee... "i told the storm" by kelly price..."how deeply i need you" by shekinah glory ministry..."the upper room" by mahalia jackson.. and "not now doesn't mean never" by marvin sapp (anything by marvin sapp, really!)... i'm sorry, i may have gotten a little carried away... but i LOVE gospel music...

Aw man! I have to go back, my mom used to play Shirley Cesar records all the time when I was young, I LOVE to hear "Hold My Mule" and "I Remember Mama" and "Jesus, how I love to call your name" (can't remember the actual title to that song).

Newer gospel songs I love to hear (they're actually a few years old) are "We Fall Down" by Donnie McClurkin and "I Need You Now" by Smokey Norful.

More recently, I like "Never Would've Made It."

Going up Yonder ....dont know who originally sung it back in lat 70'- early 80's. But my older sister could rip it up.......still give me chills to this day.
I know I've been changed - None other than Lashun Pace.
I gotta give a shout out to Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Chicago..........my first exposure to Gospel music and my sisters beautiful soulful voice!

Its been sooo long...................

When i'm down , i think about all the things god has done for me (he healed me on my death bed from a stroke)....Marvin Sapp...Never could have made it without you!!!!!!!! Wonda Nero Buttler.......Family Prayer....Kirk Frinklin let me know I can still have fun...

I love Gospel... one song that really really gets to me is PRAISE IS WHAT I DO by Shekinah Glory Ministries. ..*singing* "AND I VOW TO PRAISE YOU... THROUGH THE GOOD AND THE BAD...
