I agree with brother Corry,with the exception of calling the folks artist when there's not artistic endeavor.just noise makers and paper chasers.that's why music is suffer so badly,with low sells and low following.and these young rappers they just killing the art and genre.and as a music producer it hardening and angers me all this crap that's out here today.and when this so called artist win an award they have the nerve to thank God.I really don't think it was our heavenly father help them to create all that garbage.

Artist nowadays are making singles and repetitive junk that doesn't really make any sense no more. I am proud to have grown up in a time where music was relative and real. I am a hip hop head, but my roots are in R&B. I miss a lot of the acts that used to put out real music. And hopefully it will bring about a return to real music. Some, not all of the artists have somewhat a lack of history when it comes to making GOOD music. Well all we can do is wait and see.

I very much miss the golden era of hip hop sweetcaramel08. The artists you mentioned like Kane, Lyte & KRS were from a time where you & your classmates knew the whole album word for word because they made good ALBUMS not SINGLES. Nowadays you're lucky to find more than 3 (if that) that you'll favor on that album until they start remixing it with a guest appearance. There's also no versatility whatsoever. Back then, artists like Kane, LL & Heavy D had club songs, that battle material, conscious/social messages, love songs, stories all on that same album. The closest you get to that now is bouncin on one song, leanin on the other, and for a love song mentioned how she bounced & leaned on you. I'm about to post my break beats thread here & see if I can convert some golden era hip hop lovers into breakbeat lovers.
